Cell Phone Plan

Ensure your U.S. passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If it’s expiring soon, renew it as early as possible. Learn more: Passport Forms.

Sicily uses the Euro (€). Notify your bank of your travel dates and bring a credit card with no foreign transaction fees. ATMs are widely available for convenient cash withdrawals.

Renting a car? Secure an International Driving Permit (IDP) through AAA’s easy, fee-based application process. Learn more.

Verifying that your cell phone plan covers international service or by purchasing an international plan. We recommend downloading WhatsApp, as it’s widely used in Italy and enables you to make calls and send texts over WiFi.

Getting to Sicily

AIRPORTS

Palermo Falcone-Borsellino Airport (PMO): Located near Palermo on the northwest coast. (62.5 km or 38.83 mi away from venue)​​

Catania-Fontanarossa Airport (CTA): Located near Catania on Sicily’s eastern coast.

(Approximately 179.9 km or 111 mi from venue)

FLIGHTS

Book direct flights from major cities like New York (JFK) or Newark (EWR).

 

If direct flights are unavailable, connecting flights through Rome or Milan are convenient alternatives.

Transportation from Airport

AIRPORT TAXI
Guests arriving at the airport can take a taxi to their hotel or coordinate a shuttle pickup through their accommodation. Please note that airport taxis operate on a metered fare, with rates based on distance and travel time.

CAR RENTAL
Guests can rent a car at the airport and drive to their hotel. Ideal for exploring Sicily at your own pace. If you plan to drive in Sicily, please read this blog first for important tips.

Accommodations (Coming Soon)

We recommend staying in Cefalù, a charming beach town perfect for exploring on foot, with beautiful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. On the day of the wedding, a dedicated shuttle will pick up guests in Cefalù, transport them to the church and venue, and bring them back at the end of the night. Stay tuned for a list of hotel suggestions.
