The best place to exchange money in Sicily is usually ATMs (Bancomat) rather than currency exchange kiosks at the airport. Tip: Use ATMs inside banks for security and avoid standalone machines in tourist areas, which may charge extra fees.

In Sicily during September, the weather is typically warm and sunny, with average temperatures ranging from 24–30°C (75–86°F) during the day and cooler evenings. Rain is rare but possible later in the month. We recommend packing light, breathable clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a light jacket for the evenings. For the church ceremony at La Martorana, guests should cover their shoulders out of respect for tradition—bringing a light shawl or jacket is recommended. The reception will take place in outdoor settings, so we recommend comfortable dress shoes for walking on stone or uneven terrain.
